DCR Updates

Phase 0: Canoe/Kayak Launch & Outlook: In mid-January DCR will send this project out to bid–the first “little” phase of Phase 2 improvements. The City, State, Cambridge Redevelopment Authority and community have all contributed to this, but we remain short. DCR has pledged to match contributions to Magazine Beach Partners 1:1 and anonymous donors have agreed to match the first $10k 1:1 as well, so gifts will double or quadruple.

Please contribute TODAY by writing checks to Magazine Beach Partners, Inc. and mailing them to Marge Amster, Treasurer, MBPs, 10 McTernan St., Cambridge, MA 02139 OR contributing on Paypal. (Note: We’re still setting up our MBPs Paypal account.  You can donate to the CNA here and the money will go to MBPs.)

Tree Inventory & Plans: Below are the inventory, and plan of existing trees and proposed trees, that CSS presented to the Cambridge Conservation Commission during the tree walk 10.19.16. CSS’s Josh Burgel notes: On the inventory, highlighted trees are in the conservation commission jurisdiction. Trees at the end of the list, 205-211, are trees CSS has added that were not on the original survey but observed in the field. Trees 206 & 207 are dead trees adjacent to MicroCenter. This list will continue to be modified, just as the trees on site continue to grow, change, and sometimes decline.
